O’Dette and Fregoe Placed on IR, McFeeters Activated

FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Falcons defenseman Cory Murphy has been re-assigned to the ECHL club by the American Hockey League’s Cleveland Barons.  Murphy appeared in six games for Fresno’s AHL affiliate, recording two points (1g-1a) and 14 penalty minutes.  The ninth-year pro currently leads the Falcons in scoring among defensemen with 35 points (10g-25a), which is seventh among d-men league-wide.

The Falcons also shuffled players on and off injured reserve today.  Rob McFeeters was activated from seven-day injured reserve, while Matt O’Dette and Pete Fregoe were placed on the seven-day IR.

Fresno plays its only game this week on Friday, when they host the Bakersfield Condors at 7 p.m. at Save Mart Center.  The ZOOperstars, featuring Donovan McCrabb, Whale Gretzky, Bobby Orrangutang, Jeff Gordog, and Cow Ripken Jr., will entertain during the first and second intermissions, and the Stone River Band will play for fans on the arena concourse before the game.

Falcons players will be wearing Mardi Gras-themed jerseys on Friday, which will be auctioned off following the game with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Hinds Hospice.

Individual tickets for the game against Bakersfield are on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets and Save Mart Center’s box office with prices ranging from $8 - $23.  For complete ticket information and an arena map of Save Mart Center, visit, or contact the Falcons front office directly at (559) 485-PUCK (7825).
