JAEGER NAMED RUNNER-UP FOR NOVEMBER GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Falcons Set to Face Alaska Again on Friday

FRESNO, Calif. Fresno Falcons goaltender Brett Jaeger was named runner-up yesterday for the RBC Financial Group ECHL Saver of the Month Award for the month of November.  Cody Rudkowsky of the Reading Royals earned the league’s top goaltending honors for the month.

During November, Jaeger posted a record of 5-1-1 with a 2.17 goals against average and .932 save percentage.  He earned the league’s Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week Award for his performance during the first week of the month and was runner-up for the same award for the week of Nov. 21 – 27.

The second-year pro has been a workhorse for the Falcons this season, starting 15 of the team’s 19 games with the fourth highest minutes played (936) total across the ECHL.  Including Wednesday night’s 4-3 shootout loss to the Alaska Aces, during which he made 34 saves and helped Fresno kill 11 of 12 Alaska power plays, Jaeger is 8-3-4 with a 2.63 goals against average and .914 save percentage this season.

The Falcons and Aces square-off for the third game in a row tonight at Sullivan Arena in Anchorage.  The game may be viewed on-line live on a pay-per-view basis courtesy of B2 Networks, which can be accessed via the team’s website at www.fresnofalcons.com.  The radio broadcast will be tape delayed beginning at approximately 10 p.m. on 1550 Sporting News Radio.
