Adrian Smith Joins the Falcons
The Fresno Falcons have announced the signing of forward Adrian
Smith for the 1999-2000 season. Smith is the sixth rookie and thirteenth
player overall to sign with Fresno as the team readies itself for the upcoming
WCHL campaign.
The 6'0", 195 lb. native of Beeton, Ontario joins the Falcons
following a successful four-year career at Brown University. Smith was second
on the Bears in scoring his senior year with 11 goals, 11 assists, and 22
points. He also led his team in penalty minutes. The Bears alternate captain
also made the All-Ivy League Team as an honorable mention and helped guide
Brown into the ECAC play-offs.
"We're very excited to bring in Adrian," commented
Falcons head coach Blaine Moore. "He has goal scoring ability and,
even thought he's a rookie, we'll look for him to provide a lot of emotional
energy for us throughout the year with his aggressive style of play."
